Description
- Safeguard The Realm! is a tower defense game where the right strategy is absolutely necessary to not lose. The objective of the game is to defend the castle against waves of enemies by placing various types of defence towers on the grid map. As the waves get defeated, the user will gain coins which can be used to buy more towers or upgrade the user’s level. Each round, three towers are randomly made available to be bought; the higher the player’s level, the higher the chances to have three strong towers available. The player wins if they can endure the enemy waves.
- There are 3 levels: Level 1 (Day) is the beginner level, Level 2 (Dusk) is the intermediate level, and Level 3 (Night) is the advanced level.
- Before each battle begins, the player has access to the market, where the player is able to purchase various randomly set types of towers by spending their gold.
- Each battle phase has waves of enemies marching towards the player’s base/castle along the predefined path(s) (through the use of splines) on the map.
- Around the predefined path(s), there are empty slots, where the player is able to place towers they bought from the market to attack enemies on the path.
- Winning/losing bonus streaks can provide more/less gold. Also, gold enemies provide more gold if after a round if defeated.
- A boss enemy type appears on the last round of each level.
